Slim Line Cards - Which Size Do You Like Best?

 Slim line cards are all the rage right now and I just had to give them a try. The design is so fun and unique and I really enjoyed making these cards. I have seen card makers use several different sizes of card stock for their creations and I have seen several different solutions for the envelopes. Here are some ideas for you:

This card is created using the Forever Blossoms Stamp set. the floral image is stamped twice to create the backdrop for the sentiment. It is a perfect layout for the slim line card. The layout was inspired by fellow demonstrator, Jeanie Stark at Just Stampin'.

 

Dimensions for this card:

Cardstock cut at 8-1/2″ x 7″

 scored at 3-1/2″ on the 7″ side. 

The flower images are carried to the inside for a beautiful finish.

Colors and Dimensions:

Smokey Slate - card base

Silver Foil bottom layer - 3/14 x 8 1/4

Whisper White - top layer - 3 x 8

Calypso Coral band across the middle - 2 x 3 1/4

The medallion is cut with Layering Ovals dies - flower images stamped in Calypso Coral along with the wonderful sentiment from Country Home stamp set Stamped in Memento Black.

BUT --What about an Envelope

AHAH - there are two perfect solutions. 

1 - Make an envelope to match like the one below. I will post directions for this lovely envelope tomorrow.

2 - purchase White Legal Sized Envelopes to go along with your wonderful creation.

Many people are making their cards a bit larger - like this one I created with the "WAY TO GOAT" stamp set - darling stamps - and perfect for the guys in your life.

For this card I used 

Card stock for base 9 1/4" x 8"

Score at 4"

The first card layer is Forever Greenery DSP cut 3 7/8" by 9 1/8"

The Whisper White is 3 3/4" x 9 - I stamped the goads and sheep in Memento Black and colored them.

I used Old olive to create the banner. (2 3/4" x 1").
