Floral Boutique is Delightful to Work With

Love the look of this paper - every sheet is one that I love using!

Floral Boutique - awesome. When you lay this designer series paper out on your work area, you are immediately inspired to create something. And I have loved using it over and over. I was inspired to make this card by Danielas Stampelwelt and you can see more of her beautiful art HERE.

It doesn't hurt that I am able to use all of the wonderful tools offered by Stampin' Up! to create this card. Tools and stamps such as Touches of Texture (love this set) and Flourish Thinlits are just made to accompany this paper.

My card is part of a set of cards - more to follow - and it is my entry into the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge this week. The challenge sketch is below:

by the way - CAS stands for clean and simple

Falling Flowers and Flourishing Thinlits - Great Combo

Falling Flowers is a set with the most elegant scroll - it is graceful and lovely and adds a special touch to any card. You will love adding this stamp set to your collection. The floral image can be the centerpiece of your card. Choose color combinations that please you, stamp and you have a wonderful card.

You can bundle this stamp set with the May Flowers Framelits (wood - 142328). Definitely a must have - be sure to add it to your wish list. But I paired it with the Flourishing Thinlits - they are a perfect combo in my opinion.

The die cut flowers on this card are from the die set called Flourish Thinlits (141478). I felt this die set created a perfect match for my card.

Flourish Thinlits is bundled with the wonderful stamp set called Flourishing Phrases (142322 wood bundle). If you are like me, you will want to have both of these bundles. OH my - what hard choices.

I added a bit of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper to the center of the flower - hard to see in the photo - and an enamel shape. A twist of Linen Thread is the finishing touch

Colors used in this card
Pool Party
Dapper Denim
Whisper White

Card size -
Pool Party cut 8 1/2 x 11 and folded in half (don't forget to use a bone folder)
Dapper Denim layer is cut 4 x 5 1/4 "

For example, You might want to buy Rose Wonder Stamp set and Rose Garden Framelits to create this gorgeous card.

Using Sweet Sugarplum ink, I stamped the rose on a piece of Whisper White card stock that has been cut 5 1/2 x 3 3/4". I used a Sponge Dauber to color the rose with the Sweet Sugarplum ink. Then I fussy cut the rose, attaching it to the card along just the bottom and left side. The open right side forms a pocket to holt the tab!

Just Delightful, yes?

The patterned paper is a perfect match for this stamp set - It is called Blooms and Bliss - I love every page of this marvelous paper. I will be using it a log this summer:

Watercolor Lifting

Watercolor is a wonderful medium. I love it because it never looks the same twice and once I get started creating, I just don't want to stop.

Recently I found a wonderful technique called Watercolor Lift and just loved the idea. And I loved the wonderful background that this technique created for this whisper white rose.

http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/default.aspx?dbwsdemoid=2167481

My background is created by using Stampin' Up! watercolor paper. I used the Aqua Painter and Stampin' Up! ink pads to create a blended background. The colors I used: Elegant Eggplant, Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise and Wild Wasabi.

Use Stampin' Write Markers to color the watercolor paper then wet the paper with the Aqua Painter, using it like a paint brush, until you have the look you like. If you don't have the markers, you can use stamp pads. Squeezed the stamp pad while it was closed to press the lid against the stamp pad. Then open the pad, pick up the color from the lid of the stamp pad and paint the watercolor paper. Add more or less water as you go to get the look you like.

When the paper is dry, use the Embossing Buddy to reduce static cling on the paper, then stamp the image in versamark ink. Heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Then wet the paper again and wipe with a paper towel or cloth to remove some of the ink. The embossed portion remains dark while the colors around the embossed portions are lighter, giving it this beautiful look.

You can see more about this technique in this video by Jennifer McGuire HERE

The stamp sets I used for embossing are Rose Wonder and Jar of Love to create the background images. The best part is that you can use almost any stamp to create your background - what ever you Rose Garden Framelits.

Don't forget to add a matching envelope and stamp the inside of your card to give it the perfect finishing touches.

This card features the Rose Wonder stamp set and Rose Garden thinlits. These products compliment each other.

If you see something you like, don't miss the chance to earn a bonus with your purchase! Hurry - This bonus ends 7/31/16
