Cutest Ever - Yummy in My Tummy from the Occasions Catalog

Give A ONE OF A KIND Valentine this year

Your loved one will be Delighted!
Not into Valentines? Then make it a Birthday Card.
SO CUTE!

This card was inspired by Tami White who is a talented Demonstrator. I loved her card so much I had to CASE it, adding a few of my touches.

I will include the instructions below along with a list of all the materials needed to make this card. You will want to get some of these great new supplies on January 4 - contact me or shop online

HERE

One fun thing about this card - it can be a Birthday Card, a Thank you Card or a Valentine. What do you need? And everyone loves the shaker cards - they just keep checking them out and shaking the little sprinkles around. I think this card makes me happy. It will make your friend happy too.

Don't forget to add some fun to the inside of your card, too.

Easy to make - fun to do.

Don't forget - the Retiring Products from the Holiday Catalog are still for sale - until the end of 1/3/17 - Get some great Deals

Instructions for this card below

Instructions
Use the striped paper from Cupcases & Carousels Designer Series Paper Stack for the background. Cut a piece that is 4 x 5 1/4" (pay attention to the direction of the stripe).

Stamp all of the fun stuff from the stamp set called "Sealed with Love". I added a bit of "splatter" using the stamp set called Timeless Textures. I used Pacific Point, Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango inks.

Attach the striped paper to a piece of Pacific Point cardstock that has been cut 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and folded in Half.

Stamp the word Hugs in Melon Mambo ink on Whisper White cardstock. Punch it out with a 1" circle. Glue this circle to the center of the card.

Use a piece of Whisper White cardstock to stamp the "monster" with Memento Black ink. Color him with Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen and cut him out with Paper Snips. (Be sure to cut out the circle in the tummy too.)

Punch out a circle from a piece of Window Sheet  with the 2" circle punch. Attach this to the back of the "monster" with Snail adhesive. BE CAREFUL to keep the adhesive just on the edge so it won't show in the front of the card.

Use a 1 3/4" circle punch to create a template. Trace the outline of the circle around the HUGS in the middle of your card. Put Foam Strips around the pencil line, making sure that the foam strips come together to completely enclose the circle. Add Sprinkles Embellishments. Peel off the protective tape on top of the foam strips and attach the "Monster" face up.

Use a Glue Dot to add a bow with black Baker's Twine.

Finish the inside of the card.

SOMEBODY YOU KNOW WILL BE DELIGHTED!

Sale-a-Bration Blog Hop - Out With the Old and In With the New

This blog hop is celebrating the retiring products (you still have a few days to order!) and the new product that you can order on January 4, 2017

I am so sad to see some of the great Holiday Catalog products go! It's hard to let go of great products that inspire creativity. You can still order many of those great products - but hurry - the last day to order the retiring products from the Holiday catalog is January 3, 2017. And there are so many wonderful new products coming on January 4 ... just read on to see what I mean.

This card uses retiring Designer Series Paper called Petals & Paisleys which will retire on January 3. But you can still order this beautiful paper if you hurry. And it's on sale. I have combined it with the beautiful floral die cut images from the New Thinlit Die called So Detailed. You will be able to order this die on January 4 - what a fun combination - NO?

The colors featured in this card are Rich Razzleberry, Night of Navy and Smokey Slate. I added embellishments called Metallic Enamel Shapes - these add a perfect touch of bling to finish this card.

More fun with the retiring Designer Series Paper called Petals & Paisleys. I added a bit of Kraft Rope Trim, also retiring. Hurry to place your order before January 3 if you still want these products.

And then we will be ready for the great new products coming in the Occasions Catalog like the "debossed" image in the card above to create the sentiment "celebrate".  This image comes from a new set of embossing folders called "Celebrations Duo". You are going to have so much fun with these folders.

The Kraft Rope Trim is perfect for packaging but it works great with cards two. You can separate the three strands that make up the rope into smaller strands of thick kraft colored twine. They are very kinky when you first separate them but you can lightly spritz the strands with water to straighten them out. The ends fray easily to give the distressed look I wanted in the card above. Be sure to order before it retires.

Be ready to have a great time shopping in the new year. Along with great products, Stampin' Up! is offering free product from the Sale-a-bration Catalog for every $50 you spend. You are going to love this season!

And don't forget, the Delightful Dijon cardstock featured in the card above is going to retire at the end of May - take advantage of the great cardstock bundle featured in the Holiday Catalog with Delightful Dijon, Rich Razzleberry, and Very Vanilla - a perfect combo.

Sale-a-bration starts in January!

Watch for the wonderful Sale-a-bration products just like the paper I used in the card below!

These products will be available starting January 4

I love this paper! If you enjoy coloring, you will too! And if you don't want to color the paper, try creating a black and white card - so perfect. I will have some samples to show you later on.

This paper is free with a $50 in Stampin' Up! product beginning January 4. So fun.

I used Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen to color the flowers. The new Watercolor Pencils, available in 8 Stampin' Up! colors are marvelous. Combine the pencils with this great bold "Happy Celebrations" stamp set and you can get the paper for free.

Contact Me if you don't have a demonstrator and you want to get a catalog.

To make this card,
  1. You need Melon Mambo cardstock for the card base. Cut the 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock in half and then fold that piece in half. Crease it carefully with a bone folder.
  2. Cut a mat from Basic Black cardstock - 5 1/4" x 4". Attach this to the card front
  3. Cut the "Inside the Lines" Designer Series Paper 5 1/8" x 3 7/8". Color it with watercolor pencils and use the Blender Pen to blend the colors. Attach the colored piece to the card front.
  4. Stamp "happy" with the Happy Celebrations stamp set in Melon Mambo on a strip of Whisper White cardstock that is 5 1/4" x 1 1/2". Add the word Birthday in Black. Add black accents to the word happy with a Basic Black marker. Then attach the greeting to the card.
You can purchase the supplies the make this card from me online - just click below. Happy Shopping.

Occasions and Sale-a-bration Sneak Peek

I simply fell in love with this stamp set

Beautiful You is a stamp set that has lovely images and perfect sentiments. This type of stamp set helps to inspire creativity - you really cannot make an ugly card with this set. This set will be available on January 4 and I know it will be one of the first sets ordered.

To create my card I used pool party and island indigo blue with a splash of Melon Mambo to make it pop. The beautiful flower filigree is done with a new thinlit that will be available on January 4 also. These two items are going to be very popular.

I added a sliver ribbon - this item is retiring but you can still shop for the ribbon if you hurry and order before January 4, 2017

And another wow factor is Water Color Pencils. You can use Blender Pens or Aqua Painters to blend the colors OR you can color with the pencils without blending. Shimmer White cardstock is a great paper for using with watercolor techniques.  That is what I used for stamping the dancer.

You just can't go wrong with this new catalog! And you will be able to get free Sale-a-bration products with every $50 you spend.

I know you will have fun shopping with me this year!
