OH SO fun! Stitched from the Heart Framelits are Perfect

Stitched from the Heart Framelits are a

perfect touch to your cards.

I am always happy to find a quick and simple way to add elegance and a special touch to my cards. These framelits are just the ticket. See what I mean ...

This card is quick and it just "shines" when I add the great faux stitching to the oval. This is done with the Stitched from the Heart Framelits. And they coordinate with the fabulous layering framlits from Stampin' Up!. Now you have a marvelous tool.

Did you notice the look of stitching around the edge of the oval. This is done with the Stitched from the heart framelit. Just stamp and cut with the Big Shot and the Stitched from the Heart Framelit. The look of stitching is added to the cut oval.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO THREAD A NEEDLE to get this look.

We used to do some paper piercing to get this stitched look but these framlits do it for you. What a delightful tool.

Did you notice that great stamp - it is on sale in the Clearance rack for just $7.98 - what a great deal.

Have fun shopping today

Delightful Shaker Card

I love this card that my friend Teri designed. This was her first Shaker Card - don't you love it?

Making shaker cards is so fun and really very easy. Here are a couple of tips

  1. Create a card front with an opening in it - any shape will do.
  2. Cut a piece of Window Sheet large enough to cover the opening, but slightly smaller than the card front.
  3. Cover the opening with a Window sheet securing it around the edges of the opening. This will be the back of your Shaker card front.
  4. Line the opening with the Foam Strips - make sure there is no opening for the filling to slip out.
  5. Sprinkle the Shaker Filling in to the space.
  6. Peel off the "sticky" covering and  attach a piece of card stock that is cut the same size as your card front.
  7. Attach this to your card base.
If you want you can decorate the backing paper (number 6) which will be seen thru the window, Be creative - use stamping, patterned paper or a combination to make a delightful background.

Filling your shaker card is part of the creative process too - Teri used white Mica Flakes.

Stampin' Up! has some great shaker card filling that you can purchase from the holiday catalog:
It's called Mica Flakes trio pack.

Item number 141998 - $9. But you can use sequins, beads or punched shapes. Even candy sprinkles. You be the artist.

Have fun creating your own shaker.
