Lovely & Sweet just perfect for this Tri-fold Angled Card

Tri-fold Angle Card

I had fun making this tri-fold card. It took me a few tries to get the folds to work with an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock. But I love the way it turned out.

The stamp set I used is Lovely and Sweet. I also used the dies to cut the stamped image and the tiny flowers.

The stamp set is so fun. It has images of the almond, vanilla, and cocoa plants, as well as elements to add texture.

The Designer Series Paper I used is called Nature's Sweetness. It is 12" x 12" paper that has gold foiling accents on one side of the paper. The colors Gold, Pebbled Path and Pecan Pie on a Very Vanilla background are perfect for many projects.

The centers of the tiny flowers are just drops of Pearlized Enamel Effects Basics. Tip: be sure to give them time to dry or dry with the heat tool (but not too hot).

The card is cut from 8 1/2" x 11" Lost Lagoon cardstock. Cut the card base on the vertical at 5 1/2. You will only be able to get one card from each piece of cardstock. Score the paper on the horizontal at 3 5/8" This will give you a tiny strip of paper left over on the end. Cut this piece off. Cut a diagonal piece that starts 2" up from the left edge and angles to the top right edge of the second panel. See the diagram.

Patterned paper for the panels should be 3 ½” wide. The front piece is 3 ½” tall. The second panel is 3 ½” wide and 5 1/8” tall. The third panel is 3 ½” wide and 5 ¼” tall. You can get the angle for each panel by making light pencil mark on each piece to mark where to cut.

Enjoy making your own Tri-fold Angle card!

So Fun - Simply Zinnias Stamp and Die Bundle from Stampin' Up!

I love using the Simply Zinnias stamp set.

The flowers are amazing to color, especially when using this fun coloring technique by Patty Bennett. She starts with Stampin' Blends to color the flower then adds Watercolor Pencils on top. The color from the pencils is not blended with water and it sits on top of the alcohol marker color, leaving fun highlights. You can visit Patty's YouTube for a great tutorial.

I followed Patty's color combination exactly. You can see my color combo in the picture below.

I used the Sketched Plaid stamp set and Basic Beige (new color from Stampin' Up!) to create the background. I love this background!

I used the Stylish Shapes dies to create the circle cut out and backed the opening with Petunia Pop cardstock. I seem to be using this color a lot these days!

The Black & Very Vanilla Checked ribbon seems to add the perfect touch to this card.

For fun - I used the circle from the cut-out on the front to create a bit of interest on the inside of the card.

If you’d like to explore more about this paper, you can find it HERE. Happy crafting! 🌸🎨✨

This is one card idea from Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper which is inspired by the Concept Artist at Stampin' Up!

The concept artist from Stampin' Up! used paper snips to cut away the right side of the designer series paper so the tree and leaves become the right edge. I loved that look.

The card is created with the new neutral tone cardstock and ink called Basic Beige. It's a great addition to our collection.

The greeting is from a new stamp set called Unbounded Love. If you are looking for a good greeting set, this is the one!

But more about the paper......

Use a strip of the designer series paper that is 5 1/4" x 2". Mat it on a coordinating cardstock that is 5 1/4" x 2 1/4". In this case I used Petunia Pop. Add it to a Thick Basic White cardstock base with Stampin' Dimensionals. Add the greeting of your choice. It's a perfect card, done in a few minutes and it's one that the recipient will simply adore!

Special offer from Marti -- Get your Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper TODAY and when you purchase this paper and spend $30 or more with me, I will send you a tutorial for 3 more cards made from this paper. Just make sure you enter your e-mail when you order from me.
