Water coloring is FUN! However there are two things that I find difficult. Once I overcome these two, I'm doing fine.
1. You have to know you are not in control of the intensity and direction of the color you place on your paper. You have to LET IT GO (as Elsa would say).
2. You have to have patience to let your paper dry in between the steps.
OK - Now that you're ready - check out this fun project:
To create this card, I started with a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. I picked out the colors I wanted to use and set the Ink Refill Bottles on my desk. I got a small dish of water and a paper towel to clean my brush and then I got out the Water Painters.
I made sure that my water color paper was wet on both sides and then I just started spreading color on the paper randomly. Remember that the color intensity will diminish when the paper is dry so don't be afraid of too much color. But if you want more intensity, just add a bit more color as you see the results.
I tried spashing a few water drops on my paper to add interest. Then I left it alone! OH MY - THAT WAS HARD.
But the results were fun.
I die cut the foliage for my trees from the results - what do you think? I loved it!
Added Touches - Wink of Stella, Brilliant Wings for the butterfly, and a great new ribbon style that I learned from Jacque Williams at Stamp Happy.
And the results were super pleasing. What do you think?
