Tips for Using the New Charming Sentiments Bundle from Stampin' Up!

This bundle is AMAZING!

I love the look of the silhouetted sentiments but hate to take the time to fussy cut them and this bundle is the perfect answer.

My first tip is for the photopolymer stamps. I have a hard time reading the sentiments upside down and backwards so when I place them in the stamp case I often have to flip back and forth to see the sentiments and find the one I want. To fix that, I stamped them on a piece basic white cardstock cut 7" by 5". I followed the preprinted layout inside the stamp case. Then I slipped this piece into the case cover with the stamped side facing the inside (see the picture). Now all I have to do is look on the left of the case. When I see the sentiment I want, I can quickly find it on the right side!

My second tip is for the dies. I did not want to take the time to find the die that fit my sentiment. They are not that easy to match (at least at first). So, I stamped a guide on white printer paper. Using thin printer paper, I stamped the sentiments in memento black ink to match the layout on the inside of the stamp box. I attached this to  a magnet sheet (7" x 5") and glued the magnet sheet inside a stamp case.

To make the dies cling to the magnet better, I used a light strip of repositional adhesive like Dotto. Then, I could attach the dies over the top of the stamped images and now I can easily find the matching die.

Sentiment silhouettes - stamped and glued to a sheet of magnet paper. Using Dotto to help keep the dies in place. Now I can see just the right one for the sentiment.

I keep all of my dies in a stamp case like this and I cut out examples of the dies to put on the front of the case to give my customers an idea of how the dies work.

This is how I store my dies - in a stamp case with examples on the front.

The dies line up with the stamped image perfectly but placing the dies can be a bit tricky at first and you may need to practice a bit. As you can see the "good luck" image above is perfect but the "beyond grateful" was a bit too far on the left. Of course, keeping the die properly positioned on the cutting plate as you roll it through is very important. I highly recommend the Magnetic Plate for your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. It will help you get great results!
