Now, more about the card at the top of the page.
It features all 5 new In-Colors stamped with the swirly stamp in the Artistically Inked stamp set. I used this image to create the background for the focal point. How fun is that?
The card base is Smoky Slate with a thin border of the new wonderful Orchid Oasis cardstock to bring out that lovely color.
I used the Amazing Thanks dies to cut the words out of Orchid Oasis, backed by Smoky Slate and I colored the White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon with the Orchid Oasis ink to get a another tie-in to that delightful color.
Did you know you can color the ribbon to match your cardstock?
Try these 3 different ways:
1. Use the Ink Pad. You can pull the ribbon across the top of your ink pad. Place your finger on top of the ribbon and gently press down as you pull the ribbon across the pad. Be sure to use a bit of wax paper to protect your finger from the ink.
2. Use the Stampin' Write Marker. Lay the ribbon on some scratch paper and use the side of the tip of the brush end of the marker to color the ribbon. Turn the ribbon over and check to see that both sides are equally colored.
3. Use the Stampin' Blends using the same technique as the Stampin' Write Marker. In both cases, you will want to be gentle with the brush tip to make sure you don't blunt it.
Inside - just two more splashes of In-Color - bright and cheerful: Sweet Sorbet and Tahitian Tide.
Supplies listed for this card are shown at the bottom of the post.
