Luninarias - beautiful simple Christmas Decorations

Where I grew up in New Mexico, whole neighborhoods often decorated for the holidays by filling paper bags with candles and lighting those candles at night

to create a fairy land.

 

It's so easy to create your own with So Many Snowflake Dies from Stampin' Up!

You can cut the beautiful snowflakes in a paper bag and use electric candles to light up any area in your home. Quick and easy! And OH SO FUN!

I used white paper bags - but this technique is equally beautiful with brown paper bags.

I used electric candles - much safer than the tea lights that we used to use.
