Multi Media made SIMPLE!

I saw a beautiful multimedia tag made by a wonderful demonstrator, Ruth Trice (artful Stampin'). Her project was full of fun, lovey ideas and I have borrowed them to create this Mixed Media card - HOWEVER, remember, my version is a bit simplified. And I know you will find it easy to make your own.

I had a lot of fun creating this card.  First I created the tag with Sahara Sand Cardstock. It is 2" wide and 5 1/4" long.

One unique feature on the tag was the butterfly elements.
I used the Silver Foil paper and colored the foil with the Bermuda Bay Stampin Blends. This created a background for stampin the butterflies in Versamark and heat embossing them with Gold Embossing Powder. They came out so fun!

This doesn't look so great - but try it - it really turns out great - Thanks to Ruth Trice for dreaming up the idea.

I also used Ruth's idea of tearing the designer series paper and stamping and heat embossing right on the designer series paper. It is something I have done for a long time. To make the paper stand out a bit, I inked the edge with the Bermuda Bay stamp pad. I just applied the ink directly from the stamp pad. Of course, you could just a sponge. I love the look.

I also stamped and heat embossed the leaves from one of my favorite stamp sets, Forever Fern, in whisper White embossing powder.

I added some sprinkles in Bermuda Bay ink on the Sahara Sand tag with the stamp from Forever Fern. Then I added the strip of designer series paper from the Boho Indigo Product Medley. This has been stamped with more leaves that are heat embossed in gold.

A strip of the beautiful reversible ribbon (attached with glue) and a piece of Polka Dot Tulle (attached with glue dots) complete the next layer. The Butterflies are attached with glue dots.

To finish the tag - I added some of the delightful paper flowers from the Boho Indigo Product medley. You will love using these simple and lovely flowers.

I used Merry Merlot to create the card base and added a rectangle of the Boho Indigo designer series paper. Next, I tucked in some leaf elements from the amazing Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty paper but I turned the paper overs so the leaves are white, not gold.

I attached the tag to the card base with Foam Adhesive Strips

These are some of the products I used. Don't be afraid to experiment with your own stamps, punches, ribbons and oh yes- coloring the foil paper! So amazing.

Don't forget to take advantage of the lovely Curvy Celebrations bundle until January 4 and take advantage of 10% off the whole bundle (2 stamps, dies, & paper).
