Have you stocked up on retiring cardstock and ink pads yet - don't wait too long. They won't be around for much longer.

Try your had at the "Squash Card". I used a great tutorial to learn this fun fold. You can check out the wonderful tutorial by Chiccnscratch - https://chicnscratch.com/2022/04/how-to-make-a-squash-card.html

I stamped the flower from Flowing Flowers Stamp set (157880). To get this beautiful color I inked the flower image with Mango Melody. Then I used a sponge dauber and Pumpkin Pie and Poppy Parade inks to add more color to the flower. I huffed on the stamp to re-moisten it and stamped. I love the look. Of course, I used Wink of Stella to pop it a bit more. The same technique was used for the flowers inside.

I cut a scalloped circle with the largest die in the  Layering Circle die set. I stamped just the leaves from the smaller flower image using Shaded Spruce. I stamped two leaf images. Then I fussy cut the flower and popped it up over the top of the leaves with Stampin' Dimensionals. This becomes the focal point of my card.

My card base is made from Pumpkin Pie cardstock cut 8 1/2" x 8 1/2". It is scored at 4 1/4" both vertical and horizontal. I created one diagonal score line from the top right corner to the bottom left corner.

Patterned paper is used for the accent. The front piece is 4" x 4". Inside I used two more patterned paper pieces also at 4" x 4". These are cut in half at the diagonal.

Stamp more flowers on the inside on two pieces of 4" x 4" basic white cardstock.

Before assembling the card, attach a strip of ribbon to the front - approximately 13" of ribbon is needed.

Don't you love this idea - make your own squash card using the stamps you have at home. Try creating a new flower color like I did using sponge daubers to mix ink colors on the stamp itself. Just have fun!

All the supplies I used are linked below the post.
