Soft Seedlings from Stampin' Up! is a perfect set for the season

 I love using the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set. It is perfect for color blending and water coloring techniques.  I have 3 wonderful cards I created with this set.

This card uses the Soft Seedlings Set and the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder. What a wonderful combination. The stamp is inked in Sierra Sand and Cajun Craze ink was dobbed over the top to give the added highlights.

I used the same stamping technique to create this stamped image. I used Sahara Sand and Crushed Curry. The Basic White piece is cut with the Scalloped Contour dies and added to a mat of Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.

This card uses Watercoloring Technique. I wet the watercolor paper and then stamped with the Soft Seedlings stamp set in Crushed Curry and Mango Melody and Cajun Craze. I added a bit more water as I stamped to get the inks to run in blend. When the paper was dry, I added stamped again with the seeds and the full leaf in Merry Merlot ink. Love the effect.

Stampin' Up! Casing the Catalog

 Casing the Catalog

I was intrigued by the layout on the green card on Page 61 in the mini catalog. I loved the multiple patterns and shapes and the fact that the layers were off center. This is my version of the same layout - just different colors, stamps and papers. Give it a try - its fun to case the Catalog.

I used an embossing folder for the bottom most layer. For the next layer, I used the blending brush to color the Silver & Gold 6 x 6 DSP ( a free item offered during Sale-a-bration) before adding it to the card. The next layer is run through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine using the Autumn Bouquet Dies. And of course, the flowers are cut with the same dies. This bundle is so amazing - check it out.

I love the Wonderful World paper and stamp set. It's full of beautiful flowers and lovely color combinations. You will love the "Distinktive" style of the stamp set. You get such clear and detailed images. 

I love using the folded corner technique on these two cards.

Cut the paper 4" x 5 1/4" and fold the corner back at 4".  Fasten with adhesive. 

 BEWARE - check the direction of the flowers before you cut your paper. Make sure they won't be upside down or sideways when you fold the corner back. (Ask me how I learned this tip! LOL)

The first card is paired with the Biggest Wish Stamp Set - one of my Favorites. I am using Fresh Freesia and Blackberry Bliss for the stamped images.

On the second card I stamped the flower in Fresh Freesia and used the blending brush over the edges of the cardstock. I cut the stamped image with the Beautiful Shapes dies and matted it on a square that has been embossed with the Hive Embossing folder.

I used the Stylish shapes dies to cut the center out of the card front.  I blended Melon Mambo ink and Parakeet Party ink over the Silver & Gold 6x6 paper (free with a $50 purchase)  and used that to punch and die cut some flowers. I used the Flower & Leaf  Punch & the Merriest Frames dies. I added some of the leaves punched from Parakeet Party cardstock. 

Hooray is stamped with Tahitian Tide ink and the Big Hooray stamp set and then fussy cut . 

Don't forget to decorate the inside of your card too!
