Jar of Love - Is this Your Favorite Set?

Do you have a favorite Stampin' Up! stamp set yet?

I'm having a hard time choosing. There are many that I love. This is one of them. It's called Jar of Love and it bundles with framelits. There are 37 photopolymer stamps included with this set and such a beautiful variety of fun sayings - see for yourself what you think.

This is such a happy card - with the "Pop of Pink" designer series paper - so fun.

Stamping a card like this is so easy. Stamp the flower, greeting, and jar on scraps of Whisper White and cut them with the matching framelits. Use Stampin Dimensionals to pop up the flower and some of the hearts. I used the coordinating Framelit and the Owl Builder punch to cut out some of the hearts. Plus - I used the darling Enamel Shapes to one of the hearts - Can You See It?

Color combo:

Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Black, Gold

You don't want to stop there, though. Go ahead and design the inside and the envelope for that extra "wow" factor

Pop of Pink & Sunburst Sayings - It Makes the Card

The specialty Stampin' Up! paper called "Pop of Pink" and the stamp set "Sunburst Sayings" is all it takes to make a stunning card.

Very simple and quick and yet, it's very classy. The colors are Melon Mambo, Black, Gold and of course, lots of white. The words and the cute little circles are from the Stamp Set called Sunburst Sayings.

This set is mostly words but there are some fun squiggly lines and dotted lines plus geographic shapes - all of these are great for creating your own background (see my post on June 17 ) or adding some interest to your card as I have done here.

I also added a lot of dimension in my card with Foam Adhesive Strips (to pop up the Gold Speckled paper) and Stampin' Dimensionals (to pop up the greeting). The final touch is the Gold Enamel Heart (new and fun product - available in many colors)

Want to step everything up a notch, add some stamping to the inside of the card and the envelope - it makes a great card a WOW card.

If you are looking for a stamp set that can do a lot for you, Sunburst Sayings is the one! Want to purchase any of the products used in my card, you can shop on line HERE.

Cas(e) this Sketch #177 - Botanical Blooms

Have you seen a lot of cards using Botanical Blooms from Stampin' Up?

Yup!  And that's because Botanical Blooms is a wonderful stamp set. You will love using it. And when you bundle it with the Botanical Builder Framelits, you will love it even more. This is just one card I have created.

I created this card to meet the challenge posted on Cas(e) this Sketch blog. This is the sketch:

http://casethissketch.blogspot.com/

This case was fun to do. It was my first challenge and I will definitely try again - it was very inspiring.  Just a few notes on how I make my card.

The flowers are cut from vellum and colored with Blushing Bride and Pink Pirouette Stampin' Write Marking pens. The larger flowers are Pink Pirouette and they are attached over a stamped image in Blushing Bride. The center of the tiny flowers is White Perfect Accents. The leaves are stamped in Pear Pizzazz (leaf) and Wild Wasabi (veins).

For the greeting, I used the word "amazing" from the stamp "my amazing mom" found in the set called Greatest Greetings. I find myself reaching for this set over and over. Since I only wanted the word "amazing, I used adhesive tape to cover the other words on the stamp, then I inked the stamp in Black Memento ink. Before stamping, I removed the tape. The word 'you" comes from the stamp set called "Work of Art" -- -another marvelous set.

As with all creative endeavors, it's important to finish it properly. In this case, that means stamping inside too and making a matching envelope.

If you see something you like, you can always buy it at my online store. Or if you live close by, book a workshop or come to a card class. I would love to share ideas with you.

Make Your Own Background Paper

You can make your own background paper with many of Stampin' Up! stamp sets. The wonderful thing about it is that it will be unique and OH SO personal. Give it a try!

Not only is this a fun and unique way to create a card, it is very quick and easy. All you need is paper and ink and few punches. Just experiment a bit and you will see how fun it can be.

The background on this card was created with the stamp set called "Sunburst Sayings". All of the stamps in this cute stamp set are either great greetings or  graphic shapes and lines - perfect for creating.

Remember, your card will be received and cherished, whoever you gift it to. But step it up a bit
  • Carry your design over to the inside of the card
  • Stamp the envelope to match
Here's a picture of my card inside and envelope

Now your card is perfect. Want to see more about the products - you can check them out below.

Swirly Birds - So Versitle

It is so easy to create a fun wall hanging with Stampin' Up! stamps, inks and papers. This wall hanging was inspired by the stamp set called
  • Swirly Birds which is full of fun and whimsical images.

Using colors with Stampin' Up! products is so easy. One option is to stay within the color family. Another is to be inspired by a piece of Designer Series Paper. And the third is to use the catalog which is full of awesome color combo ideas. In this case, I used the colors:
  • Pacific Point
  • Pool Party
  • Basic Black
  • Gold
